Bringing the spotlight back onto instrumental rock, Julia has been called by fans “… an alien sent down to represent the last several decades of music…” paying justice to Julia’s music inspired by a wide range of influences from Jeff Beck to Steve Vai, while american producers and casting directors went straight calling her ‘new female Eddie Van Halen’. Julia's expressive "emotions to the sound" performances along with her powerful sound and amazing technical abilities - one would not expect from a girl - have gained her multiple awards and recognition at international guitar festivals. Versatility and freedom of creation have been the key for developing Julia's sound and touch. With her main focus currently being on instrumental progressive rock / metal, Julia works in various styles, both as performer and composer, with her unique touch, groove and talent for writing memorable melodies.
Julia is one of the few russian born musicians gaining worldwide recognition and focusing on international career.
In 2012 Julia has become the first guitarist from Russia to get worldwide endorsements for LAG Guitars and Hughes & Kettner amps. Also in 2012 she was featured in Guitar World and Music Legends magazines.
2013 started off rockin’ with Julia’s performance at the NAMM Show Main Stage.
Julia’s debut EP “Springs Of Time” has been release on 22 April 2013 and features Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater, Planet X, Black Country Communion, Billy Idol) as a special guest on keyboards, Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Paul Gilbert, Steven Wilson) and Brian Tichy (ex-Whitesnake, S.U.N.) on drums and Chris Buck, Michael Devin (Whitesnake, S.U.N.) and Rufus Philpot on bass.
