First video was using the brass monkee atomizer and sony vtc5 battery. In this video I'm using the 454 atty and a sony vtc4 battery. I'm not new at this. I even tried sanding all the contact points. In the battery terminal, the 510 on the atty and the contact screw in the mods 510 adapter. Still don't read right and occassionally get a burst of heat when the atty is misread. This video once again is for the pioneer4you techs to look at.
Been having issues with this ipv2 not reading attys correctly and consistently. This is a 0.5ohm build checked with an ohm meter, a multimeter, and my hanas. They all say it's 0.5. You'll see here it'll even hit it once at 1.1ohm. It's done far worse reading 1.7 ohm and higher at times. When it hit at 1.1ohm it was pushing 6.4v thinking that would produce the set 38 watts. In reality it just hit a 0.5ohm coil with 6.4v. Thats over 80 watts.
Current go to set up is my v3 hana mini with an atomic. Next is the stingray and zenith v2. Have the brass monkee here as well and it does great less than 0.5 ohm but much higher and I don't get the warmth of the atomic and zenith. If I didn't have a mini hana to put the atomic on I'd likely prefer the zenith just because the 22mm attys look better on mechs than the smaller atomic atty. Just my 2 cents.
I'm on my 2nd ipv2. Both have the same issues of misreading attys and providing way more power than it should. For instance I'm using a 0.5ohm dual coil in my brass monkee with a vtc5 battery. Vaping at 38 watts it might read the coil correctly for a few days then all of a sudden be off by as much as 1.9 ohm reading the same coil at 2.4 ohm. It's generally not that far off. Usually it'll go to 1.1 to 1.4 ohm. But the big problem is as a 1.1 Ohm coil it'll give me the 6.4v to attain that 38 watt setting. In reality it just sent 6.4v to a 0.5ohm coil. Thats about 82 watts. I have a few videos up now being reviewed by pioneer4you. So far they just blame user error. Been vaping for 3 years on everything from provaris to mech mods and dna30 devices. So I'm pretty confident on my knowledge and skill set.
Thats a sony vtc5 batt in there. Vtc4's and 1500 mnke's all do the same. I've even went to putting the 510 contact up high enough that it leaves a gap under my atty. But that way I know its making good contact. Does this on the brass monkee, veritas, tobh, 454 and origens. I'm no newb. Trust me. But thanks for the input.
Had my veritas for several months now. I've had pretty much every rda that's came out in the last 2 years. The veritas is the only one I went back and bought a 2nd. Love them. Can also get thumb screws for them to replace the nuts that comes with them. Killer attt imo.
Great video. I have the ELA and ELA strata. Both have been riddled with problems for me. I've tried dozens of coils in that strata and get the same results. Superb flavor. Not much vapor. Kudos for saying it like it is.
