JESUS SAVES! OR JESUS SAVED! WHICH IS IT?

We have all seen or heard the term, “Jesus Saves!” As if to suggest that Jesus still has some unfinished salvific work to do depending on whether or not we participate in our own spiritual salvation by observing certain religious expectations OR praying the so-called ‘sinner’s prayer’ OR doing our part to help the Savior of the world to save the world. The fact is: everything needed for the sinner’s salvation has already been done by Jesus. He cannot “save” what he’s already saved! And we cannot do for ourselves what God has already done for us! Our salvation is a done-deal. Let us rejoice in the knowledge that ‘Jesus Saved’ all of us two-thousand years ago! For those who have yet to hear of their already accomplished salvation, let us share this glorious truth with them. This is the gospel, i.e., “good news!”

God's unmerited, undeserved favor will put you at the right place at the right time. It will open doors of opportunities for you that no one can shut.

God's Word says that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Heb 13:5). He is with you today to help you boldly face every circumstance!

Religion has played into the victim mentality because it’s the easiest way to explain away failure. The church has not been effective in helping people overcome things like sickness and financial problems, so they fall into the sacred cow belief that God is allowing this for a reason. God isn’t allowing the bad things in your life. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives on the inside of every believer, and He is waiting on you to resist the devil and appropriate what He has already provided through Jesus.

In Romans 5, Paul addresses believers, but he also explains what Christ accomplished on behalf of all humanity even before anyone came to faith in God through Christ. Jesus Christ died for people who were still:

“powerless” and “ungodly” (verse 6).
“sinners” (verse 8).
“God’s enemies” (verse 10).

God accomplished his great work for us out of his “love for us” even while “we were still sinners” (verse 8). The result was that even “while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son” (verse 10).

If what you hear under the mantle of grace does not increase your consciousness of the Father's love for you, and does not include all in the death and resurrection of Jesus then you are not hearing pure grace, but a manufactured product of religion. ~ Don Keathley
