A story from a postdoc in the USA, can you relate?

"Before I started working with Olga, I suffered from very low self-esteem and had a lot of productivity issues. I was a chronic procrastinator which left me feeling completely overwhelmed at all times. This habit had started affecting my health. Even worse, I was always mad at myself for my bad work habits and thought I didn't deserve to be easy on myself because there were people out there whose lives were so much harder. It was a never-ending, vicious cycle that was hurting me.

I, luckily, came across Olga's facebook page and decided that it was time to do something about my problems and let her help me with them – I enrolled for her Inner Circle Support and Accountability Coaching program.
Olga started out giving me productivity tips to tackle every day work that helped me be less overwhelmed – setting doable goals, setting a timer, and not being a perfectionist. Talking to her weekly also helped me learn to prioritize my tasks.

As we worked together, Olga's remarkable intuition made her realize that my main problem was my mindset. We, then, worked on how I should treat myself. The one thing that will always stay with me was when she told me to treat myself the way I treat my closest friends. Just this realization made such a world of difference to me. We started working on how I should not be so harsh on myself and blame myself for everything – I might not have any visible problems but I certainly was a victim of my mindset!

After this breakthrough, things started getting remarkably easier for me. While we worked together, I got a long-pending paper from my Ph.D. days wrapped up and accepted, prepared a talk and a poster for a conference, wrote an important paper that was ready to be submitted, networked with much more ease at a conference, and got intricate sample preparation done. While doing all this, Olga showed me how easy it was to take time-off, take care of myself, and not be overwhelmed – all I had to do was try what she told me to do.

It also helped a whole lot to know that Olga has had first-hand experience with most of the problems I was facing. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders because I am no longer angry at myself and that I can deal with anything that comes my way. I can crush panic in my mind before it starts to overwhelm me by following all of Olga's productivity tactics. I am extremely grateful to Olga for her patience and for imparting her wisdom to me. It turns out that working with her was the best decision I made regarding my life and my future!"

I was interviewed by Anuradha Kowtha about my 7 step Productivity Code system that I've been using for years to help scientists become more productive and achieve more of what they want. You can listen to this one hour interview to learn about these 7 steps and get lots of useful strategies!

This is just a few topics that we've discussed in this interview:
--> How to overcome overwhelm, get on top of your priorities and meet your deadlines stress free
--> How to get your evenings and weekends back so that you can spend more time with your family or on your hobbies without feeling guilty about your work
--> How to get confidence to publish in higher profile journals, ask for promotion and to get a job you want
