----Just a 100 watt UV 50 volt arc tube series-ed with a 175 watts incandescent filament. When the inside filament broke on mine, I opened bulb up and added wires to outside of bulb and used two 100 watt incandescent bulbs wired parallel to each other and in series with UV tube. To start the bulb the energy is all fed through both the incandescent ballast and the tiny filament in bottom of tube for a couple seconds to heat UV bulb and start discharge. At this time a tiny thermostat normally bypasses the small filament and routes the power to the other end of UV discharge tube, ( I had to do this manually with homemade repair). Arc tube has zero resistance and is 'ballasted or regulated by incandescent. ----I have two other vintage sunlamps that use heater elements as their ballasts. UV tube only operates at around 50 volts. You can use heater elements or incandescent bulbs to ballast many Metal Halide pulse start bulbs if you bring a Tesla Coil near it. ----Also you can permanently damage the bulb if you don't allow it to operate at least 5-10 minutes. Bad to just turn it on and then off. ----I still use these to get incredible tans, as the real sun just turns me red. I only use these a couple minutes few times a week. No sun up here in Portland, Oregon.
So many people try to decide what God can and cannot do. God can do anything he wants to. If he wants to show himself as a carpenter and have a whole life we can relate to, he can certainly go through the motions and still be fully in charge of the Universe all the time.
People try to limit Jesus because they don't understand simple things like God revealing himself in three different ways, which confuses people thinking there are three gods. A person is always a son or daughter to their parents and a brother or sister to a sibling and a parent to their offspring, but still the same single person. So don't try and limit what God can do based on your lack of understanding, unless you're as smart as God.
I have many Islamic and Muslim friends that engage in this conversation often. We get along just fine. Isaiah 52-53 has versus predicting that many would reject and not recognize the messiah when he came.
I feel bad for many of them, as they probably don't bother to keep informed except what their friends tell them, and think Obama is still this great guy many were hoping he'd be. Unfortunately many people just vote with the 'gut feeling', as if that's always a good option, like at a car dealership.
