The burger was delicious - thick and juicy. The bacon and cheddar that the offered were a nice touch. The fries were some of the best I've ever had - incredibly crispy yet not hard to bite into. I'm not ordinarily a duck fan, but the smokiness really worked well with that appetizer. I found the meatball soup a little too funky, probably because of the cheese in it. We enjoyed dining at the back on the second level, since it gave us the opportunity to look down on the kitchen from time to time & see what was cooking.

One of the better restaurants in SF proper. I enjoy eating here. Popular, it's tough to get a reservation but I can usually sneak a seat or 2 at the bar. Only tried dinner here, but typically well-executed. Enjoyed pasta and leg of lamb dishes here. Not quiet dining, just noting.

Lively place with wonderful service. Trout was delicious. Pork chop was good but heavy. Enjoyed the birdseye view from the 2nd floor.

Definitely an underwhelming brunch especially given all the hype about how great it is. They only had 2 vegetarian egg dishes and neither were very good. The other options for veg were a little gem salad, potatoes, and the french toast (which was good), but I would have expected many more options from such a well known place, especially in a town that is known for being so vegetarian friendly. Their online menu is significantly pared down to what is available that month.

I wish I could give them more stars. The experience we had here was AMAZING. I think I've never had dinner at a better place in my life. Place is really nice, we were seated upstairs and felt super cozy. The place was packed so there was a little bit of noise, nothing that bothered us anyways. Food is orgasmic! Lots of different dishes and all of them fabulous! I had the best steak ever, I swear! Staff are PERFECT. Polite, nice and friendly. We had a guy who asked if he could sit on our spare chair to talk to the table next to ours (he wanted to talk a couple of minutes with some old friends), of course, we didn't mind so he did. Immediately one of the staff members asked if that was ok, we said it was so she left. She kept asking if it was fine and finally she saw they were talking so much that she changed the couple to another table (where a group just had left - I repeat, it was packed) where the guy on our chair could fit. At the end of our meal, the chef came personally with a dessert he had made for us just to thank how kind we were with a stranger. It's something we would've not needed, because we were fine with that, but when things like this happen you always feel taken care of. It was great!

Although the service is amazing, the food is nothing to write home about. My friend's chicken was under cooked in some parts and very dry in others. My NY steak was meh... ok. I am not impressed. My mom makes a better steak.

After coming here for a birthday brunch and hearing all these amazing things about Nopa, it was really good but isn't as amazing as I thought it would be. Nopa is the perfect brunch spot with it's scenic location, modern design, REALLY hospitable service, and great crowd, but think they need to really up their game if they are going to keep being a busy and bustling brunch place. For food, it took about 30 minutes for my friend and I to get all our orders and I was kind of disappointed with what I got. My friend ordered an EGGS IN JAIL which I tried and thought for the price it was really awesome and had the right amount of mushrooms, egg, and was seasoned well. On the other hand, I would not suggest getting the SOFT SCRAMBLED EGGS as it was supposed to have bacon in it, but had little pieces of it and wild rice was way too al dente for my liking. To end our meal, we ordered half the CUSTARD FRENCH TOAST and thought the texture was very custardey and bland by itself, but the huckleberry butter really helped make it a full dish. I wouldn't order it again, but it was a good portion for a half size! In terms of drinks, I am kind of sad that they don't offer bottomless drinks, but I appreciate the quality of their drinks. Their negroni is pretty awesome and has the right amount of campari, but their bloody mary was a bit spicy for my taste. I was told by my waiter that I could have suggested how spicy I wanted it, but their regular bloody is usually spicy. I am glad that I finally got to go to Nopa, but would rather go for dinner the next time I come!

One of my favorite late night spots in SF. Fun atmosphere, good sliders, Brussel sprouts and apps with farm fresh ingredients.
