I think that the G+ circle metaphor is pretty broken. All I ever post (when I do) is public.

Disagree. For people who post frequently, it makes sense.

After all, the unwritten rule of Facebook us that people who post more than three updates a day are annoying. And people on Facebook who blow up their stream with politics are hated for it.

On G+, I can post more than three things a day as long as I'm not spamming one circle too badly. And I can limit political stuff to only the people that want to see it.

Facebook is too limiting in that sense. Twitter is too scatterbrained. Circles allow G+ to be a perfect happy medium.

My Nexus 7 (2nd Generation) will no longer turn on. I came home after work and it was off and would not boot up. Thinking that the battery had died I plugged it in for an hour to charge it and then it did boot to the Google screen but remains stuck there. I went into recovery mode and I see the following messages:

E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log

E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_install
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_install
E:failed closing /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/misc (I/O error)
E:failed to mount /cache (Invalid argument)

Any tips for the Android hardware gurus out there?

+Christopher Seavey Fair point! It gets much worse. You know you've reached the true depth's of winter when you have to start plugging your car in. But hopefully that's at least a month away.

So #homebrew  folks I have a dark secret, a brew that I noticed was sour when I moved it into the secondary....over a year ago. Since then it had sat in my basement sealed and slowly going bad. The question I have for you today is: do I bottle it?

Does a beer that sits with it's bad self for a year suddenly become a tasty sour? Should I just go for it and bottle it? Or dump it and get brewing again?

I'd just pull a sample, chill it, taste it and decide.  I've flushed several experiments out onto the lawn.   Failing happens.

Nexus root toolkit by wugfresh, a swiss knife for nexus devices. Learn how to use it before doing anything. Your option would be back to stock in soft bricked device, but you have to be root first.

So far I have been unimpressed by any of the smart watches. They look like the right solution to the wrong problem.
