I found this Restaurant after seeing it in a show that airs on MeTV called "Rockford Files" I love how they kept the Classic Decor which makes Smoke House stand out from the other places. The Menu is has a lot of Great Choices (too many for Me to make a single recommendation) and the Prices are very reasonable compared to some other Restaurants in this area. Reservations are also available on their website. I'd say that the most romantic Restaurants ever made are "Smoke House" and a place in Malibu that I also reviewed called "The Ranch at Solstice Canyon"

When we first sat down, the waiter asked us if we wanted him to bring some garlic bread. Many restaurants bring bread to the table, free of charge. This bread was not free. It was $6.95, but this was NEVER mentioned. I asked for a side salad, which on the menu, was an additional $3.95 with your meal. The waiter offered us a Ceasar salad instead which he said was not on the menu. When I got the bill, we were charged $17.85 for 3 ceasar salads, or $5.95 each. The additional charge was never mentioned when the waiter "offered" the caesar salad instead. All 3 of us ordered the filet mignon. Mine was cooked perfect and was very tasty. My girls, 13 & 16, complained theirs was chewy. I wonder if they served them a lesser quality steak thinking because of their age, they would not notice. The entire bill for the 3 of us was 3x what I paid for a good meal the previous 2 nights. Plus, the place is valet parking only for a charge of $5.50, as if we didn't spend enough money already. Sorry, this place was not worth the price for me and I did not like feeling like I had been scammed. I would not go here again.

Live band, wings and salad was all great. All the dishes are large portions so if you're alone ask for the side order salad.

My favorite place in Los Angeles. Old school, great service and outstanding food choices. Prime rib is divine. BB ribs, exquisite. I am sure this place was the back drop of many an old, and even newer movie. Right across the street from Warner Brothers, never know who you might see. There is a reason George Clooney's production company is named Smokehouse productions. They also have great bands on weekends! Obviously I love that!

If you are looking for Old Hollywood, you'll find it here. Built by Danny Kaye in the 1940's, the Smoke House has retained its past era ambiance and menu. The service is excellent and the food is wonderful. In the bar you'll be able to get all kinds of vntage drinks like Side Car, Gin Fizz, and Gibson. The place is a bit dark and there are a lot of nooks and hideaways for discretion. Everyone should go at least once.

TERRIBLE DON'T GO THERE! TOO for food that is not great. My friends and I had a terrible experience and complained to the manager, who by the way could care less! Will NEVER go back there again and I hope you will believe me and not go there either. Go to OUTBACK or Cheese Cake Factory and you will get better food and reasonably prices. Plus the ambiance is better. SMOKE HOUSE is for old people!
