I think people either really like the Smoke House or they don't. In my opinion, many of the reviews are right. This place is original Hollywood. It really does feel like Quentin Tarantino could film a movie here, and I thought the food was good with enormous portions. However and a big however in my opinion is the poor state of the facilities. It's great that so many famous people have eaten at the Smoke House and kudos to the owners for keeping it going, but it's time for a refresh. Keep the nostalgia. Please keep the nostalgia. But because the facilities seemed so tired, used and worn out it really distracted from my ability to enjoy the food. While I disliked my experience at the Smoke House others in party said it was great, but the food and nostalgia couldn't over come the lack of TLC for the environment.

This may be one of the worst most over-priced meals I have ever eaten. We ordered Garlic Bread with cheese... now most places EVEN Pizza Hut give you actual cheese on your bread. The Smoke House version of Garlic Bread with cheese can only be described as Garlic Bread topped with Cheeto cheese flavouring. It was toxic orange coloured and tasted disgusting. The steak was tough and the chips were soggy. As for the entertainment, my cat sounds better when being washed in the shower! To top it off, this is Valet only parking, $5.00... the car park is no more than two meters from where the cars are parked, complete rip off!

This without a doubt used to be the best BBQ place around.............. thats why me and my wife many times have driven over two hours to eat there. We have been in love with the place ever since the owner took a stand against Sonnys for his Christian Faith. Spring forward to yesterday and that has definitely all changed. Yesterday 4-3-15 I and my wife made the 2+ hour ride from Griffin to Tifton. We arrived at The Smokehouse at 3:15 pm and we were the only ones there. We ordered our regular all you can eat ribs which the waitress said was $8.99 same as always. She then came back and advised us it was $12.99 a piece which we said no problem too as the quality of the food has always been top notch. As soon as the food arrived both of us thought that ownership must have changed. Cold baked beans was one side and the recipe has definitely changed, they were like someone opened a can of pork and beans and put them in a bowl. Then the ribs.... over cooked on the outside and all fat hardly any meat and what was there was dry, and no smoke flavor as if they were cooked in a oven. We thought well maybe the next plate will be okay so I placed a order for two more plates of ribs. We got 4 of the same lack of quality ribs on 1 plate. I asked for the second plate and the waitress went away and came back with I'm not sure what it was. I told the waitress that that had to be a joke and she said well the ribs are the last of what we have ready and she even said that plate of 2 ribs was ridiculous and looked horrible. She went back to get "better Ribs" and came back to tell us "sorry but we are out of ribs". She offered some pork if we wanted that but it wasn't pork we drove 2 hours to get. I asked the waitress well since we cannot get all you can eat ribs I hope that you're going to take off some from our bill. The waitress said she would go ask and came back with a new bill where $2 was removed. This was definitely the last straw. I asked the waitress if the business was under the same owner and she said yes. I'm not sure what has changed but this place is now what I would consider a dump and not worth trying. We should have know something was wrong with a empty parking lot and not another customer in the place. Too bad it has sunk to such a low, we will never eat there again and will go to the Sonnys only 30 minutes away!!!

Love the retro, old Hollywood vibe. The garlic bread makes you want to make a meal out of it. Yum!! The ribs are delicious, the service was pleasant and we will definitely be back.

My favorite place in Los Angeles. Old school, great service and outstanding food choices. Prime rib is divine. BB ribs, exquisite. I am sure this place was the back drop of many an old, and even newer movie. Right across the street from Warner Brothers, never know who you might see. There is a reason George Clooney's production company is named Smokehouse productions. They also have great bands on weekends! Obviously I love that!

If you are looking for Old Hollywood, you'll find it here. Built by Danny Kaye in the 1940's, the Smoke House has retained its past era ambiance and menu. The service is excellent and the food is wonderful. In the bar you'll be able to get all kinds of vntage drinks like Side Car, Gin Fizz, and Gibson. The place is a bit dark and there are a lot of nooks and hideaways for discretion. Everyone should go at least once.
