It's sad how much I rely on the undo command and the transform tool in photoshop for my drawings nowadays. Drawing on a piece of paper with pencil really reminded me how out of practice I was. I cropped out the really horrible left hand and arm I drew and tried to fix his elongated arm in photoshop to salvage the sketch... still, I like how his face turned out, and I'm getting a feel for what 'my' Superman face is I think. I tried putting on JRJr's new costume on him too...

+Arvin Bautista I see that. Don't rely on computer shortcuts. You only improve by fixing mistakes on your own.

I've got a few posts to catch up on. It's been awhile since I updated this blog as well, I've sort of got an excuse, but I'm back on the book again! I jumped on the Inktober bandwagon last year so that took up most of October...

Last Inktober drawing and quite appropriate for Halloween! I didn't get to experience Will Eisner's work until I was in college, but what a blast it had been catching up! I do like his Spirit work a lot, but it's his later work that I absolutely love. I could read "Life on Another Planet" over and over! #inktober   #willeisner   #thespirit

Superman Quick Sketch
I did a quick sketch of the man of steel on actual pencil and paper! I'm out of practice drawing in a more realistic style and his left arm and foot were all sorts of funky, but I still liked how his face turned out. I've always had a hard time figuring out...

A quick sketch with Krita. Pretty fun program, I'm not used to the shortcuts yet, but the stock brushes in it do a lot of cool things...

Justmessing around with this open source drawing program called Krita. There's quite a few neat brushes in there, and I didn't even do any customization, but I was able to get some cool looking effects for my sketch. I ad...
