In this video I wanted to represent the willingness and the effort that each artist, no matter which field he is in and what his talent is, puts in the creation of a piece of art to convey what he has inside: his thinking, his life, his essence and his soul. And also the way one can reach his own objectives in life.
When a piece of art is created the artist is in a sort of ecstasy status, and what you think, smoothly becomes real. At the beginning the artist is insecure, since he knows is working directly on the final copy, based on his pulses and with no initial sketches, and he cannot do any errors that's why hesitates. But once his creativity is ready like a river in flood, his vision becomes more and more clear in his thoughts, becoming real even if in a draft stage. (Pencils)
Once the basis is made, the most difficult part begins, the one which requires more time to be completed, but which allows to the final piece of art to become concrete and definite: the details. (Ink)
During this stage, everything must be aesthetically in line, so that each part is in harmonic balance with the others, highlighting their beauty and breaking the repetitiveness with a different element which stand out from the rest and which exalts the overall picture. (Color)
Next is the most relaxing stage, where volumes need to be exalted realizing lights and shadows for each element. (White)
Final stage is the Signature, which doesn't represent simply a name, but it's a signal, a symbol of recognition, a sort of genetic code of the artist, which identify him univocally and universally and links him forever to his creation.
This could be compared to the essence of life itself, since when someone borns needs time to growth, to become stronger, to enrich his soul winning the challenges the destiny will decide to offer him, evolving and reaching the full awareness of his role in the world. That's why I used only three colors: White, Black and Red. They are the color of Poker cards, which is more than a simple game but, with his deep, magic and ancient roots is linked to life itself.
White represents the neutral basis where you start evolving.
Black represents the negative aspects of life, while red the positive ones, our past and present choices which will characterize our lives forever.
The title of this artwork is: INSIDE ME.
I think everyone of us has a Dragon inside to be woken up and to catch out in all moments of life, especially the dark ones, the most difficult, because by using his strength we can face them and go over. This strength requires respect since it's a noble strength, constructive and not disruptive, which will allow us to evolve at each stage becoming every day people stronger and stronger.
Thanks to this strengths, which is inside of us, we can find the light also in the worst moments, giving color to our days and to people around us with small things like a drawing till a symphony, since I believe that art means also this: SHARING.
Thanks to you all.
