So what's it like to do design work at Google? What tools do we use? How do we collaborate, both in person and remotely? I'm sure lots of you developers and designers have these types of questions for the designers and researchers from the Google Design Minutes series. Make sure to post them to this moderator page! We'll share our responses to the top questions in the coming weeks!

Wow, I just noticed that you can buy an LTE Nexus 7 for $270 from +T-Mobile! That's a great deal.

After struggling with trying to figure out how various pieces fit together, I've done some research and put together the complete Android Activity/Fragment lifecycle chart. This has two parallel lifecycles (activities and fragments) which are organized vertically by time. Lifecycle stages will occur in the vertical order in which they're displayed, across activities and fragments. In this way, you can see how your fragments interact with your activities.

In addition to the attached image, I've also got an SVG: http://staticfree.info/~steve/complete_android_fragment_lifecycle.svg which is suitable for printing.

If this is missing lifecycle steps or is inaccurate in any way, let me know so I can update it!

Excellent points.

Also, I definitely want to see what +The Verge will do with Responsive Design.

Build for Screens
Always great to hear +Matias Duarte's thoughts on the current state of digital design. There's a few things that I've strongly believed in and he's not only brought them up but expanded on them in some fantastic ways. Here some of those points:

1) Don't build for "mobile," develop and design for users on multiple screens. What you call "mobile" is just one of the many screens your users are on. Build for that cross-screen interaction. There should essentially be no feature restricted to a certain screen, if possible.
2) The future of software will take the best ideas of the web and native and bring an experience where services intermingle with other services while also taking advantage of the core platform and hardware capabilities.
3) Brand recognition is as important as following platform rules. More importantly, it's the job of the platform to allow for that brand expression and sit in the background of what the brand is trying to say.

Also, good to hear +Joshua Topolsky say that +The Verge is focusing on a responsive layout. Seeing +Vox's website, it's quite clear they have the proper ideas behind the scenes!

Absolutely the worst fast food restaurant I have ever been in. They overcharge for one of the combos. So, I politely told them. The guy could not understand the basic math. He blew me off by giving me some money. They are still overcharging for the combo. Absolutely unacceptable. Just. Plain. Stupid. I will never go back here as a matter of principle, and I hope you don't, either. Not the first time I have been overcharged here, either.

Expensive and the food took a long time to come out, but the place really has a monopoly on food in Terminal 1. Food was good enough and filling.

It is a tired, old restaurant in a tourist town. But, you won't get sick here, and it's decent food.
