So, two new AT&T topics to discuss today:
1) Upgrade fee increase - most of the titans of the mobile world I follow on Twitter said they simply dispute the current $18 upgrade fee AT&T imposes. Now, starting yesterday (February 12), AT&T has doubled its upgrade fee. I wonder now if that can be disputed and credited. It almost makes me want to go to a store to get the Lumia 900 upon release, specifically ask about this upgrade fee, and dispute it upfront. AT&T claims the sophistication of smartphones today has warranted a fee increase. So the underlying technology that assists one in the upgrade hasn't been kept up-to-date on the current smartphone devices? I don't get it.

2) Data Sharing in the works - a leaked screenshot from +Engadget shows that data sharing is in the works behind the scenes, and will start to show up in some AT&T systems, although won't be available as of yet. I pay a total of $45 for my unlimited plan (grandfathered) and my wife's 200 MB plan (also grandfathered). If AT&T offered a shared plan of $50 for a share of 3-5 GB, then that would satisfy both mine and my wife's usage trends that past few months. Another suggestion would be to do a "data rollover" (pointed out by a commenter on the +Engadget story). It took voice A LOOOOONG time before it was a rollover service, and data is really, really new in comparison, so I don't suspect it to happen anytime soon, but my idea would be you get 10-20% of what you didn't use rolled-over, because I doubt AT&T will go for the entire remainder being rolled-over.
