Diners make & cook their own pancakes at an industrial-sleek, otherwise full-service breakfast spot.- Google
"Take family and friends and enjoy making pancakes at your own table / griddle."

Great food and service. Their pancake at the table idea is great and fun but the other food is amazing too.

Think a DIY Korean BBQ meets a pancake house and you get Slappy Cakes. Seems so simple but I like it. Could use a little more batter in the squeeze bottles. My favorite combo was banana and chocolate chips. I'm a huge bacon fan but I don't think I'll get the chicken fried bacon ever again. It was just a little too much. Get it once in your life and I hope you share.

Amazing experience. Their gluten free pancakes were awesome, and the concept of the restaurant was innovative and fun! Will definitely come back every time I am in Portland!

Did not get to eat here, never will. I was told by many that the food here is only OK, and thought hey let me try it myself. Walked in around 2:30 pm thirty minutes before closing apparently, and was told in more words that I could not sit down and had to get my order to go. If when I ran a restaurant I told a customer that, I would have been fired. Will never return, and from reading other reviews, you are (over)paying for an experience, not for great food.

I was excited about the DIY pancake concept but ended up being very disappointed with the experience. Once seated it took 30 minutes to get our drinks, and 45 for the pancake batter. Far too slow, especially given the minimal prep required on their part. Pancakes were acceptable but definitely not up to what we make at home. Our wait time was 20 minutes (early morning) which quickly ballooned to 45+ for those that followed.

Cute idea, making your own pancakes, but in all honesty I wish I ordered the restaurant to make them for me (which was an option). So it's for novelty and kids would love it. Unfortunately our batter got stuck to the flat top pan but the waitress was really nice and gave us some more supplies on the house. She also mentioned that they were getting nonstick pans soon so maybe the problems fixed. Without fail, we just used a bunch of butter and the pancakes were delicious. I definitely recommend bacon and paying for the Vermont maple syrup. Although it wasn't my favorite, in what other restaurant are you going to cook your own pancakes?

Fun! A few too many little kids, but what did I expect at a place that let's you make your own pancakes. The bottle of batter looked ridiculously small, but was more than enough which was a nice surprise. Excellent selection of toppings and the non cake menu was great too. Definitely worth a try.
