With over 140 species of domestic and exotic hardwood lumber in stock, Hearne Hardwoods Inc. is one of the largest specialty lumberyards in the world.

Built on a picturesque 18th century homestead, our facilities include a lumber showroom, self service lumber racks, exotic burl and turning square rooms, a vertical band saw sawmill capable of sawing 67" wide planks, a wood shop demonstration area, milling machinery and a kiln.

Hearne Hardwoods is a source for some of the world's rarest and most beautiful timbers including book matched lumber, burls, boules, guitar sets & blanks, custom flooring, and a few exotic veneers. Our specialty stock includes rare mutations of common species, natural edged flitches, salvaged antique lumber, highly figured boards such as birds eye, tiger and quilted maple, and one piece table top planks up to 7' wide and over 20' long. You can also source us for the more common hardwoods such as walnut, cherry, maple, mahogany, pine, and oak. We have many imported species; a few of which are Swiss pear, English brown oak and sycamore, amboyna burl, French oak and walnut, Spessart oak, yew tree, cocobolo, paduak, wych elm, Italian olive, European walnut and chestnut, pink ivory, ebony, several varieties of rosewood, koa, Tasmanian blackwood, and bubinga.

More than 1 million feet of inventory on site, we can supply your needs!

Their wood selection is unbelievable. The prices are ever so slightly on the high side, but the atmosphere and the people make it worth the trip without question.

Very good lumber selection, but their turning blank inventory is very lackluster.

I was pleasantly surprised by the great selection of instrument grade woods! Mahogany, walnut, rosewood, ebony, koa, zebrawood, bubinga, african blackwood, etc. etc. etc... Many figured varieties as well. They even had spruce for the tops. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. So much selection that its hard to just get in and get out!

Can drive you crazy. They suggest they have almost every wood and dimension you could want. But call and you find out most it doesn't exist or that "The Walnut person is not here today". Got pictures of stacks of wood so you can only see the top boards. Ordered pieces of holly and they arrived strapped with a plastic hose clamps. Label was slapped on the wood. No cover at all. Large gouges during shipping. Junk basically. Tossed it on the scrap pile. Not worth dealing with them. Only way I think you can get wood from them is to go there. Certainly can't do it over the internet.
