Lean, clean and packed with plant protein. That’s how I would describe this light and lively Moroccan Chickpea Salad. It doubles as a salad, or side but can just as easily be tossed into a pita for a Moroccan Chickpea Salad Pita Pocket, or mash the chickpeas slightly and create a vegetarian spread for sandwiches. #chickpearecipes #chickpeasalad

Budget conscious recipes that stretch my grocery dollar are my favorite weekend meals. Nothing like a great soup or stew, like this Red Black Chorizo Chili, to clear out the fridge of all the little bits of onion and dried up ends of garlic and soggy tomatoes past their prime. The big expense is the chorizo, but overall this is a cheap, one pot meal for under $15. Perfect for game day. This chili also freezes well and keeps hungry teens happy. #chorizorecipes #chilirecipes

As a Food Marketing Consultant, I shoot with my IPhone (A LOT) to support my client's social media feeds. It's all about telling the story of their business; selection, variety and freshness. At this location I work on a small dark wooden table in front of a North facing window every Wednesday morning. (In this shot: menu of tarts & pies for the week...)

I often drop in textiles and other backdrops but the location remains the same. The resulting news feed is constant in shadow, colour and tone. I never use Instagram filters on food shots, instead I opt for about 20% Lux, up to 10% contrast and adjust brightness and warmth as needed. This gives a natural, high quality look --- all on my IPhone 5S. Photography about composition and light, you don't have to have an expensive DSLR to shoot great photos!

Prince Edward Island is as famous for it’s red dirt potatoes as it is for it’s seafood. This recipe is hearty combination of both with Lobster Stuffed Baked Potatoes! The brain-child of the chef-in-my-life, they're so rich and filling that each potato is a meal in it’s self - loaded with lobster, butter and garlic and topped with cheese. Served with a bright chardonnay... #PEI   #potatoes   #Lobster

I never get tired of poached eggs! Add a toasted olive bread, some prosciutto and the tang of tomato bruscetta for a "wow" egg dish anytime of day! #eggs #Italianstyle
