This place could so easily be 5 stars, but I'm incapable of giving it that rating. First off, contemporary christian music is played over the sound system. Ruined my meal before my order was taken. To add insult to injury, they handed me a pen from the cult church "Elevation" with which to sign my credit card receipt. The only redeeming quality is the food was outstanding and my waitress was great. Pretty face, busty, and very attentive. 10/10 would sit in her section again. Overall, I can't support christians trying to shove their beliefs down my throat at every turn, so I won't be going back...

We started with fried oysters with bacon vinaigrette. He had the spare ribs and they were enough that he had to take some home. I had the fried catfish with okra, and the catfish was very nicely breaded and fried. I could have stood a bit more seasoning. The carmel cake was to die for. Service was just okay. 10 mins to seat me as servers just rushed by. Maybe they were understaffed; we had to flag down our server. Overall, good place, though.

cold, sterile decor. decent food for ok prices except if i had known that the tiny dessert i ordered would cost nine bucks, i would have passed on it.

This is one of my favorite uptown lunch places. The food is a slightly upscale "meat and two veggies" format and is always well prepared. I also appreciate what the Kings Kitchen does in helping train and support the homeless in running their business. Go there and enjoy!
