Transforming the city we love one plate at a time. The King’s Kitchen and Bakery is a nonprofit serving southern-inspired cuisine from Carolina farms and purveyors located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte.

The King's Kitchen & Bakery is managed by Noble Food & Pursuits and donates 100% of profits from sales to feed the poor in Charlotte, the region, and the world. Additionally, The King's Kitchen partners with area ministries to provide employment opportunities to Charlotteans in search of a new beginning.

And while every penny of profit at The King's Kitchen has a higher calling, each bite of the food served to patrons features Jim's signature "New Local Southern Cuisine." Specialties include premium local and organic produce paired with fine meats.

This place is pretty great for contemporary southern comfort food. Most meals are quite hearty, and all the sides to choose from are excellent (biscuits, potatoes, collared greens, etc.). The concept behind the restaurant is also very unique - it's a nonprofit - look into it!

Community service 'meats' great southern grub. See what I did there? Pot roast is awesome. Decent beer selection. Cool airy space.

I love this place the fried chicken is so yummy. They don't have very large menu but the food they do have is really yummy. Its not very cheap but its not very expansive either. For my dinner plate it cost me about $17 . Besides the food the service can either be good or bad depending on when you go. As for the place being clean it deff is very clean.

Generous lunch portions and lots of sides make this a favorite mid-day meal. The first time I had lunch there, I ordered the meatloaf, collards, mac 'n cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a biscuit and had enough left over for another meal. Everything tasted great. I wish they still served hot breakfast (they recently switched to pastries and muffins only), even still the toasted ham and cheese croissant rocks- and like lunch, is huge.
