Yet another deception from Google, who is killing Picasa (also the desktop app and the APIs, and Google Photos is not even near what Picasa Web can) with only one month of warning...
Lesson: stay away from Google services for anything important http://googlephotos.blogspot.com/2016/02/moving-on-from-picasa.html

For the open source lovers, EasyRSS, an Android news reader app I maintain is now available in F-Droid :-) (open source alternative to Google Play Store)

To be used with a FreshRSS back-end (another project I contribute to) http://freshrss.org

After more than a decade advocating IPv6, I am amazed to finally have it at home in Copenhagen! Welcome to the future! :-)

Despite the fact that my new Internet provider said they do not have it*....

It is not native IPv6 yet but close enough, and they do assign a full /48 6to4 address range (i.e. many many addresses): 2002:567:x::/48.
I was even able to play successfully with SLAAC (Stateless address autoconfiguration) with success; good riddance IPv4 NAT'ing :-p

* Min Internetudbyder om IPv6, før vi bestilte: "Det er ikke noget vi kan håndtere og bør undlades på jeres pc'er. Hvad jeg forstår er det noget der officielt bliver brugt i Kina og ikke andre steder endnu."

Ah, Java.
So today, I wanted to install Java EE 7 64-bit on a fresh Win8 machine.
The Java EE 64-bit installer fails, then crashes... because it requires... Java.
Nevermind, I install Java 7 JRE 64-bit.
I then re-launch the Java EE 64-bit installer, which crashes again... because it requires a 32-bit version of Java pre-installed. WTF.
I proceed to installing Java 7 JRE 32-bit with online installer, which fails to find the files to download...
Same again with offline installer, which succeeds (yeah... not to mention the crapware bundled with the JRE installer).
The Java EE installer now works, and as I will be working with Tomcat, I do not want Oracle's Glassfish server, but the custom installation that would allow not installing it is "Not Supported".
Sigh...
