Hi! My name is Jamie. Welcome to my
little slice of blogging life!
I’m starting this blog as a way to
share some my health and fitness journey along with other like all things
Disney, my life as a caregiver for my parent, inspiration/motivation, and
beauty. My goal is that this blog will
help inspire, educate, and entertain you along the way!
For as long as I can remember, I
have struggled with my body image even when I was a fit dancer in my younger
years. After college and the passing of
my mother nine years, my heath hit its rock bottom. I was not taking care of myself or treating
my body like the temple it should be. My
journey started after a trip to Walt Disney World in May 2012. I was horrified when I saw our
pictures. Who was this person? Though she is smiling, inside she was
unhappy, unhealthy, bloated, sore, and so uncomfortable. I have tried various diet or workout plans
over the years with little success and I just plain was not happy. None of the programs I was trying were truly
working for me until I found some inspiration on Instagram. I had started following a number of health
and fitness related accounts which led me to Shakeology and TurboFire in May
2014. I had finally found something that
was working for ME!
I have lofty goals when it comes to
my weight and fitness, but they are definitely achievable. I’ve hit some stumbling blocks along the way,
but that hasn’t stopped me from pushing through. Though I have not hit my goals yet, I am
having sun and finding my little successes along the way with a variety of
different programs and rooting my nutrition plan in Portion Fix (as know as the
nutrition plan from 21 Day Fix) along with Shakeology. My priority is to eat clean 80% of the time. I
do my best to choose wisely, but it is still a challenge with my “on the go”
My goal is workout 5-6 days per
week. I do not always accomplish it, but
I always make sure I schedule them and try my best to make them happen. I currently rotate TurboFire, Les Mills Pump,
PiYo, walking, and soon I will be adding T25 and Insanity: Max 30 to that
rotation as well. My friends and my team
all say I have workout ADD, but I like variety!
