Another day in the woods running our Introduction to Bushcraft course. A small group (down in size due to illness's unfortunately) but they achieved loads and had a great time as well (as far as I could tell).

A great natural shelter, water filtering / purification, natural cordage, pot hangers and of course fire.

Well done all, a bit cold and damp but it didn't dampen the spirits :-)

A busy, bit chilly, day in the woods yesterday on our new Introduction to Bushcraft PT II course (must get a better name for it!). Top work by the group on Tarpology, Tree ID, Natural Navigation, Sharp Tools (all of the group made themselves a very nice Bucksaw to take away) finishing on more types of fire lighting.
We are running more of this course next year, so if you know someone who might be interested and are stuck for a Christmas present we can provide gift certificates for all our courses :-)

The first part of the week has been spent working for a friend delivering and instructor training course to students from Derby University.
Great to see them getting so involved and watching the development over three days, they all put 100% in and got lots out.
Even had a little time to produce a cake, testing myself here by not using the Dutch oven. Tasty as well :-)

A good day today working for a friend with a group. Looking at shelters, water filtering, knifes, cordage, game prep and of course fire in many forms.

We managed to dodge the thunder and rain and have a great day as well :-)

A busy time next weekend with our 2nd Intro to Bushcraft Course on Sat (places available, nudge nudge) and a stag group on Sun.

An excellent afternoon in the woods for Jayden's 6th birthday party. Everyone wrapped up super warm and had a fantastic time.

Great effort put into shelters (especially by the Dads!).

Fires all worked well which was an amazing effort given the conditions!.

Good work everyone :-)
