GEFA Executive Director Kevin Clark, DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond, DeKalb County Commissioner Kathie Gannon, and the DeKalb County board of commissioners participated in the signing of a $25,000 biogas grant.

GEFA’s Biogas Technical Assistance Program helps communities like DeKalb County identify solutions for achieving the highest and best use of their biogas resources.

Georgians can support land conservation with a charitable contribution on their state income tax forms— line 29 on Form 500 or line 13 on Form 500EZ. The contributions help the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Georgia Forestry Commission, and the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation conserve land through conservation easements or property title transfers from landowners.

Georgians will have the opportunity to conserve energy and water and save money by purchasing energy- and water-efficient products without sales taxes during the ENERGY STAR and WasterSense Sales Tax Holiday, which starts tomorrow, Friday, September 30, and continues through Sunday, October 2.
