Really tight review, JB.  Yeah, this if one of the most despondency-rife movies ever made for sure.  Won Best Picture as you indicated because it introduced a whole new approach to making movies in 1969.  And staggeringly it was actually rated X at the time!

I am not a War Epic guy-but I've decided that I must make an exception for this one. Plus, I love Tom Hardy. What are your feelings on his performance?
