Why is that every time someone imitates a US accent, they do a Valley Girl impression? Is that really how we come across to the rest of the world or was the movie "Clueless" really that huge in Europe?
Every time I've met someone from anywhere in the U.S. they've asked me if I like tea and crumpets in an accent they think is similar to the queen's. Each and every time I've assumed it was a joke. It wasn't. I guess every nation has their stereotypes about another nation.
