staff was very friendly. I tried both the frito pie and sweet potato fries. Both were delicious and I'd recommend you try them. I'll definitely go again.

I haven't actually eaten there yet. Not to say I haven't tried. A group of us tried to eat there on Tuesday evening, around 6pm, and they were closed. This is the second time that we tried going, the first time being on a Thursday evening also around 6pm and also closed. This time, we actually called the shop before we made our plans, and we were assured they would be open until 9pm. So apparently, if you work downtown, you can eat at this place for lunch. But if you're trying to go for dinner, good luck. We haven't managed to eat there yet. We've heard good things about the burger, but the store doesn't keep the posted hours.

Wholly cow! These burgers are not worth the price or long wait at this location in Downtown Austin. I waited 30-45 minutes during lunch to receive my small burger and soggy fries. I like that their meat is grass-fed and it's a great location for downtown workers, but $7 for a burger that isn't delicious is not my thing.

I love that they use grass-fed beef and have gluten-free and Paleo options. The portabella mushroom caps as buns are great but a little difficult to eat like a normal burger because they are slippery. I also really love their sweet potato fries. I need my Wholly Cow fix every once in a while and it always hits the spot!

Wholly Cow is my cheat-day Friday favorite. Their burgers are the best burgers downtown in my opinion. Everyone is super nice in there and are willing to make suggestions if you want to try something new. There is indoor and outdoor seating too, which is a huge plus in my book since in the cool autumn days I want to sit outdoors. Perfect for a quick lunch downtown but also perfect for a long lunch where you lounge and eat their amazing frenchfries as slowly as you can. Savor them my friends...savor them.

Great food but not so good service. The location on Congress constantly closes early. I've been turned away at the door when it says they're open for another hour on multiple occasions.

Really good burger- you can taste the difference with grass fed beef. I skipped the Hawaiian sweet roll bun for the paleo version, but I will say that the portebello mushroom caps-as-buns (while an amazing and creative idea) is so impractical to easily eat. But I don't blame the restaurant for that. Wish these guys were located in the north because I'd eat there daily.
