Just a reminder. Euan and I will be hosting a hangout tomorrow. It's a bit of an experiment for us. We'd love to see you there.

Since we began the Shift podcast, Euan and I regularly hear listeners say
"I kept wanting to join in on the conversation". Well, let's give it a go, shall we?

Euan and I will be hosting a Hangout/On air session and would love for you to join us. For this session, we'd like to talk about the topic of our last podcast, organizational "stupidity" (http://business-shift.com/podcast/2013/9/13/shift-episode-14-stupidity).

We'll have an hour and would like to split our time between identifying common issues around the topic and potential solutions, resources or attitudes that might help support our evolution.

We'll record it and make it available after for folks who can't make it.

If you've got questions, ping Euan or I here, or on Twitter.

This was a fun one. Dying for feedback.

Euan and I are also tinkering around with the idea of hosting Shift hangouts, where you can join in on the conversation. Interested?

Just published the latest edition of Shift with @MeganMurray- this one on the topic of stupidity! http://bit.ly/1bfpP6I

Looking at the reemergence of the term the internet of things today. Am struck again at how the more things change the more they stay the same and at the misnomer of rapidly changing technology. The big shifts are decades in the making and can be seen far far off in the distance, for years at a time. Our signal to noise stays at such a level that the majority will never see it coming.

Our maiden Shift:Hangout was a little bumpy but a great chat. Really enjoyed it. +justin locke apologies! Didn't get your notification 'til after we wrapped up. We'll make this easier next time.

Very good idea to invite Shift listeners into the conversation. Loved the opportunity to engage the topic of Stupidity a bit further. Thanks again for the invite.

I came across this piece with an interesting section on Organisational Stupidity (at about the mid-point of the text)...

http://complexityandmanagement.wordpress.com/2012/11/23/trust-in-organisations/

As Forrest (Gump) says, "Stupid is as stupid does", I guess.
