The AMK allows for a wide spectrum of coastal and marine geography topics, including:
- Coastal zone management
- Marine spatial planning and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Resource management and aquaculture
- Coastal protection and risk management
- Ecosystem services and indicators
- Marine debris and water quality

The conference will be held in English. Presentations are also allowed in German.
Registration for lectures and posters is open until March 1, 2016. When registering for the lectures and posters, please include an English summary that is a maximum of one A4 page. Registration for conference participation is possible up to the start of the conference.
After the registration deadline, the program will be determined by AMK organizers based upon the submitted summaries.

Expansion of the tourist sector and the refurbishing of harbors and waterways in the Vistula Lagoon to boost the local economy were the main issues of the Polish stakeholder meeting which took place on the 26th of October in Tolkmicko.

On the 16th October the lithuanian stakeholder meeting took place in Nida. First results of the water quality analysis and survey results of visitors attitute towards beaches and bathing water quality in the Curonian Lagoon were presented and discussed.

Yesterday the preparations for the german Stakeholder-Workshop started! During a boot trip the team took watersamples of the Szczecin Lagoon. Furthermore they foound a lot of mussels and blooming blue algaes.

As a part of the ICZM course in Klaipeda this week the Students carried out the OSPAR marine litter monitoring at the Curonian Spit. Even tough the beach looked quite clean, a lot of litter was found! Today the results of the monitoring will be presented.
