I moved to the area recently and came in here in severe pain. I waited patiently to meet the most unhelpful and rude nurse I have ever encountered. They don't have a doctor here, so if in doubt go to the hospital. The nurse said 'you walked in here you can't be in that much pain and don't you dare go to the hospital you will waste everyones time', and told me my only option was to go to my GP back in Islington if I wanted medical attention today. A one hour twenty minute journey later, the Islington staff apologised and said the nurse had been wrong and was obligated to send me to a closer GP given my pain and the distance, but was too probably too lazy. Sums it up. Nurses here are rude, lazy, and lacking medical expertise. With little interest in helping ailing people. Go anywhere else.

I called three hours ahead and booked an appointment, but when I arrived I was not even acknowledged beyond a nod for 40 minutes. Two other ladies were also waiting for appointments at the same time as mine, so they had clearly mis-managed their appointment book. I was told this is a regular occurrence here, and customers are often waiting exceptionally long periods of time even when appointments are made. Still, I waited as the ladies I was sitting next to insisted that the staff did an excellent job. Once permitted to take a seat, one girl began to clip my nails, then something happened and I was abruptly moved to the pedicure bath. The water was ice cold, and the pedicure was mediocre at best. While sitting there I had time to notice how absolutely filthy the entire salon is. The floors, the chairs, the stools, every surface really. I wouldn't say that any salon can be perfectly clean at all times, but this salon certainly has not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. When I was finally moved over for a manicure, I was trying to ask for a specific nail shape but ended up with the opposite of what I wanted. Yes this place may be cheap, but you get what you pay for. Bottom line they were extremely late and no respect for appointments made, the facilities and counters and towels create an atmosphere that is unsanitary and ultimately uncomfortable to be in for such a long period of time. Despite the bad service, I still tipped as I know that this is difficult labour intensive work, however I can say that I will never be back for fear of being infected through the utensils or surfaces. The other reviews here may be positive, but they may also be outdated. Would never recommend or return here.
