This document represents a series of guidelines for writing code that will swiftly pass code review with my team. It doesn't attempt to be fair. It doesn't attempt to listen to your opinion. It does present a series of guidel...

I never noticed this but if you write a plus next to a word the word, the word's baseline is lowered until a space is inserted between the 2.

+foo vs + foo

try it and watch the baseline shift when you add or remove the space! (This was the case a few minutes ago in Firefox 5. They might have fixed it by now. I am sure they are doing live bug fixes via continuous integration.)

Oh, and by the way, typing a + followed immediately by letters allows you tag people in your posts. '@' works the same way. No apparent functionality for hashtags.

Let's see... more testing:

The image uploads scale nicely. You can upload many at a time it seems, and they all get assembled into a little collection. I can't wait to see what the gallery looks like and what I can do from there.

If you upload pictures, the only other thing you can tack on to the message is a location.

The location tracker is a bit inaccurate, which I am kind of thankful for since I am at home. I have removed it because I don't want to broadcast that information. That might be useful if I ever got a smart phone ... lol.

If you're around friends and family using older browsers this year, why not take a few minutes out to help them upgrade to an evergreen browser? Evergreen browsers are browsers with an automatic upgrade path (e.g Chrome, Firefox and Opera) and will mean that they can enjoy the best the web has to offer and avoid broken browser experiences in the future.
