We built up a very rough "case" for the prototype MEGA65 in the lab today. Then something amazing happened once I started typing on the genuine Commodore-made keyboard. Something about the tactile feel bought back the memory, like smelling a familiar smell after many years. Next steps are to verify the function of various ports.

Belated report of my trip to Dunedin with NZ Red Cross IT&Telecommunications ERU to begin testing and socialising the Mesh Extenders with them. Didn't get as far as we would have liked, with a couple of firmware and software issues bogging things down. Those faults are now fixed, and being merged into the next firmware version ready for our next trip to Vanuatu.

We now have a simple FDISK+FORMAT utility for the MEGA65 to make it easier to format SD cards for first-time use. It still needs some refinement (like asking you first, instead of completely reformatting your SD card as soon as you run it).
