Very friendly and work fairly quickly. Understaffed and at the end of the day, they were still able to squeeze in an oil change and have me out of there within an hour. I've been here twice though and have walked out both times feeling like I walked out a little worse for wear. My first oil change/tire rotation, I went to pick up my car and they told me that they didn't end up rotating my tires because one of the lugnuts was too tight and they couldn't get it off without breaking it. Confused and caught off guard, I just said "ok", paid and walked out but was driving home thinking "but I still need my tires rotated..." If they'd just called and explained and offered to break and replace them, I would have agreed. But instead they just seemed satisfied with returning my car in an "incomplete" state. I had the tires rotated elsewhere and it ended up only costing $50 to break and replace the lugnut, so I'm still confused as to why that wasn't done at Merchants. Since then, I returned for yet another basic oil change and tire rotation. When I went to pay and was handed the keys, the mechanic told me that he couldn't get my hood down. The safety release catches, but the main latch won't. He just handed me my keys and suggested I take it to the dealer. Yet again, I walked out feeling a little like "why didn't you look into it?" Maybe there's a broken part that needs to be replaced. I suppose I have to commend them on just doing only exactly what I ask them to do and no more. I never walk out feeling like I've replaced the entire car when all I wanted was an oil change, but both times there was a little something that went wrong and they didn't even bother or offer to fix them. I personally have no intention of taking my car back here. There are enough auto shops around here that are willing to see a job to completion.
