Why do we think that the biblical injunction to be quick to listen and slow to speak (James 1:19) applies to everything else except the internet?

Checked exceptions: Java’s biggest mistake?

Advocates claim they ensure checking & recovery from failures. Detractors say “catch” blocks can almost never recover from an exception, and are a frequent source of mistakes.

Meanwhile, Java 8 and lambdas are here. Have “checked exceptions” become obsolete?

Still using #PCGen, after all these years.  Still a great tool for D20 games.

Does anyone have any experience with adding aspects as the game goes along?  In several Fate based games I've run the players have wanted more aspects, and rather than adding initial complexity to character creation I'm planning to grant additional aspect slots, perhaps one at each major milestone.  Is that going to break the game?

I wouldn't add character aspects, but I have added campaign aspects to show achievements.

Interesting and I think valid reasoning on a difficult topic.
My views on this subject have changed several times. There is very little (I could find) written on this from a biblical perspective. This is a complicated subject and it brings up some strong opin...
