Can somebody tell me why any sane person, especially a creator of original material, would think that using Google Drive under these conditions would be a good idea?

The only service I'm comfortable with, out of the box, is SpiderOak, that affords client-side strong encryption. You lose your password to decrypt, they can't help you at all - zero-knowledge. There are encryption add-ons for DropBox that I'm looking at for clients, since some of them feel compelled to use it because their clients are using it.

You never truly understand how image dependent g+ is until that day when the images won't load.  For me, that's today.

You know, with all the noise generated by the election, the ads, the constant media barrage of bullshit, sometimes we lose sight of the more important things in life. So while you are all trying to fit voting in to your normal schedule today, I want you to please take a moment to reflect on something that is oh so important, and we all seem to have forgotten it. No matter who wins this election, or what state measures get passed or denied, the truly important thing to remember today is that there are only 48 more shopping days until Christmas.

Hip Hip Hooray for materialistic consumerism...... The most wonderfully impotent, uh, I mean, important thing in life. Cheers, and were nearly there yet again, almost ready for round 2013.

If he is infinitely good, what reason should we have to fear him?
If he is infinitely wise, why should we have doubts concerning our future?
If he knows all, why warn him of our needs and fatigue him with our prayers?
If he is everywhere, why erect temples to him?
If he is just, why fear that he will punish the creatures that he has filled with weaknesses?
If grace does everything for them, what reason would he have for recompensing them?
If he is all-powerful, how offend him, how resist him?
If he is reasonable, how can he be angry at the blind, to whom he has given the liberty of being unreasonable?
If he is immovable, by what right do we pretend to make him change his decrees?
If he is inconceivable, why occupy ourselves with him?
If he has spoken, why is the universe not convinced?
If the knowledge of a God is the most necessary, why is it not the most evident and the clearest?
