LADIES & GENTS, MY BROADWAY NIGHT!
Woh! G+niuses! This is it! My first foray into the big Broadway! That's me on the +HEDWIG on Broadway
red carpet talking with +Neil Patrick Harris
and the truly brilliant cast and crew! WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT...
That's the hilariously awesome opening line to the show, "Ladies and Gentlemen, whether you like it or not, Hedwig and The Angry Inch!!"
Watch this killer little video to see your very own G+rl hit the red carpet with some crazybig stars, interview the creators of the show and even talk to +Yoko Ono
. Seriously. I had a chat with Yoko flipping Ono. #Surreal WHAT HEDWIG MEANS
I loved asking the writer, the composer, director and everyone involved what this amazing crazy character and show means to them. Every answer was as heartfelt and rang as true as the show itself. If you've seen it, or go to see it, you'll know that underneath the wigs and wild story Hedwig is really about finding your own personal path to becoming whole. To finding the love within yourself, without needing to be completed by anyone else, and then being able to give that love back out into the world... Especially in the form of some badass punk rock songs. :)
My favorite part of the video is Neil's answer to my question, "What have you learned from Hedwig, what has she taught you?". It's a great answer about passion, and guts and going with them moment instead of focusing on perfection. Watch it, it's at the end of the video.WHAT HEDWIG MEANS TO ME
I absolutely love the raw rock-n-roll attitude of the show, the intensity and freewheeling power, the scrape your knees, get back up and belt your heart out spirit. That's definitely part of what Hedwig means to me!#HONORED
I'm crazy honored to be a little part of the production of the coolest show on earth right now! They just got nominated for 8 Tony Awards! And I can't wait to bring you even closer with some Hangouts coming up soon! I feel like the luckiest little sister of these creative giants who made Hedwig possible. The show is straight up bananas it's so good and I am totally inspired from my heart to my now glitter-covered fingertips!XO, Daria
