We are proud to support the GiveSafe project and team. Bravo to King 5's John Sharify for taking the time to investigate, understand and report on this amazing solution. Jonathan Kumar has created a beacon of "hopefulness."

We LOVE this Seattle pilot project!!!! - The moment they hit 500 Seattle Givers, local nonprofits will release 100 beacons to recipients in need! They only need 202 more Givers - I just signed up - I'm Giver #298. (no fee or credit card required to sign up!)
Have you ever walked by someone you wanted to help, and felt unsure how?
GiveSafe distributes electronic “beacons”, about the size of a quarter, to individuals in need through nonprofit shelters (starting with the Union Gospel Mission in Seattle). If you have the GiveSafe app and pass by or meet a beacon holder, you'll receive a simple notification with the opportunity to give or learn of the person's journey.
Should you decide to give, the beacon holder can then spend the money at select merchants or through a nonprofit counselor on goods or services that can truly help (warm clothing, transportation, a good haircut, and more).

Congratulations to our friends at YouthCare! They raised $717,000 at their 31st Annual Luncheon on Tuesday.

YouthCare Executive Director Melinda Giovengo said at the event: "We cannot prevent all that brings youth to our doorstep – but we can help young people move forward and prevent another life lost to the street. Let us seize this special moment and never look back and wonder if we did everything we could. The young people deserve our best, so that they can be their best.”
