Thinking of Being a Missionary?
Should you count the cost, or will it be restored?

My very personal struggle with missionary re-entry. Looking back I can see many things I misunderstood while considering going on the mission field. I can also now see many incorrect assumptions I had when we returned.

I hope these articles help others properly prepare for going out, and for re-entry.

These articles are not meant to discourage anyone from becoming a missionary, but they do challenge us to think through that decision. I would love to hear your comments. Both positive and negative comments are appreciated.

Please let me know what you think (after you have read the articles).

Prayer Request
Looking for 14 people to pray for those ISIS fighters.

Here's why: we know you have to be tough to be a pastor, because of all the stuff pastors have to put up with.

Those ISIS fighters are tough.

How cool would it be if they converted to the religion whose founder told us the most important goal/order is to love. Then, after they converted, they went back to their home countries and became christian pastors to all their friends.

That would be cool.

We don't know their names, but CNN was kind enough to tell us what countries they are from. So what if 14 people each chose a group of ISIS fighters from a particular country to pray for.

That might be a pretty good idea. Which country do you want?
