SPOILERS INCLUDED:  Sansa predicition:  I am guessing there may be a stall as they find a septon to annul her marriage to Tyrion and while waiting, Sansa will orchestrate "ghost at Winterfell"  stuff and then Theon will help her escape and it will merge up with book plots only it will be Sansa headed to the wall and safety rather than fake Arya. I bet she has to kill Miranda in self defense though, before all that.

Note on Martells--ALSO Princes because Aegon never managed to conquer Dorne--Dorne came into the 7 kingdoms by marriage rather than conquest so they didn't have to give that up.

I think Sansa is playing Littlefinger, which means she HAS to turn Brienne away--she reads it is what Littlefinger wants and she needs to appear to be going along with him. I really hope though, Brienne stays close to have her back.

Prediction:  Gray scale focus + dead things in the water at Hard Home = the gray scale monsters being the things in the water at Hard Home?

(And totally with you on Dany needing Tyrion)

On the location:  two hints--after the big dragon battle they go SOUTH (where her sister marries) and when she rides the dragon for the last time they start to head for the land of always winter before she hears her father cry out, both of which suggest maybe a Winterfellish location to me (pre-wall and pre-seasons getting screwed up which I think had a a magical cause).

Bilal's suggestion that this is an early exploration that morphed into the Others makes a lot of sense, though I still like the idea of a literal one showing up at some point (maybe Benjen has gone to the land of always winter to get an egg... (I tend to think he is on some quest up there))

SPOILER FROM BOOK WARNING:  I think the Cersei start was important as I agree about the season having Cersei bookends (walk of shame in the last episode is my bet) and I also think it allows watchers to understand Cersei's motivation behind how she will likely treat Margaery all season.  As to Mance... I think Sansa is headed to Winterfell and will get some of that ghost of winterfell bit. (I believe the pink letter was written by Ramsey, but based on false information Stannis made the Maester send him)

Cersei mentioned Lancel "recovering" which ties to book stuff--Lancel was badly injurred in the Battle of the Blackwater and in recovery "found religion". This was entertaining, but I agree with the comment that a bit of guidance from the bookwatcher could have kept it a bit focused.

+Hart Johnson I'll certainly try to guide the conversation a bit more while being spoiler free. Thanks!

I wish they'd done ALL of Maggie's prophecy. The dropped part is important to Cersei's motivation. I think I liked Jon shooting Mance and the Tyrion/Varys bits best. I ALSO think I overdid "trailer analysis" so there were no surprises here--my bad (for me)_.

I definitely fall in the love camp. And while Rhaegar was married, Elia had been told no more children so I don't think it was such a stretch to convince Lyanna "2 wives is okay and I'm not sleeping with the other one anymore so it really would only be you"--that wild wolf in her would care more about emotional and physical fidelity than tradition and propriety, IMHO.  I think maybe Rhaegar and Lyanna were communicating through Benjen... Why would Benjen take the black right after his father, oldest brother and sister die, leaving Ned alone? Guilt is the only thing that makes sense to me.

Voting rules via the book--another vote happens the next day until somebody has a full majority--it took WEEKS and there were 3 candidates BEFORE Jon--Janos kept building as the other two made no progress against each other, then Sam, behind the scenes, convinced both Mallister and the other guy to throw support behind Jon to defeat Janos.

My very top moment because it sent chills down my spine was Stannis offering to legitimize Jon and then the pan to Jon and Sam and hearing Jon say "it was the first thing I ever wanted" but then he isn't going to accept. Not happy, but I loved the emotion of it. I am wondering if the focus on Gray Scale hints at what the things in the water at Hard Home will be.

I totally thought The Gift would be The Gift up by the wall--Jon letting the wildlings through which sets up the motivation for the end of the season. It would be good though, for the title to have double meaning.  You didnt metion (or I missed) Theon...

The question that keeps coming up for me with Varys is, if he wants a Targaryen on the throne, why was he spying and passing information to Robert (including the information that led to the assassination attempt on Dany). Jorah said he'd been sending info to Varys (in the episode Dany sends him away).

The BOOK version (SPOILER WARNING) makes more sense as it suggests Varys and Illyrio want a Blackfyre (fake Aegon) on the throne.
