Oh, the Vampires for Blood promo sounds great! Best of luck to all of you. And I am good once I publish... no need to edit. But unless there is some press BEFORE that, I will keep tinkering and not publish at all... not good.

That can be hard. For years I diagnosed myself with FOMS (fear of missing something) but anymore I just mostly want to hide and write. I wish I could. But probably it would be better to be SOME of the places (doing some of the things) than doing nothing or trying to do everything.

Good for you fitting it into your commute! I read on my commute, and sometimes I edit, but most of it is spent walking, so a computer wouldn't be possible. Hope my trick of sliding writing in when the kids want to read on their own instead of with you works for you eventually!

You need to check out the Detroit Institute of Art--there is a multi-story gorgeous fresco by Diego Rivera depicting, both literally and symbolically, the American auto industry. They did an exhibit last year with a bunch of his preparatory stuff (and his wife Frida Kahlo and her work)--but the outcome is fantastic.

Thank you for this--I loved the show and have never seen this.

I'm impressed. I always make a to do list, but I usually only manage half the stuff because things take so much longer than I think they should.

My only lost body parts have all been teeth thus far, but I hear you on the babies. My older is still technically living at home, but my younger leaves for college in the fall... that will be very strange.

Oh, fun!  Love the tarot stuff and the fortune-teller tale.

I can add wee enlightenment as to why we make such a big to-do in the US... it is part of the Patriotism Brainwashing Machine. We can't be such large world asses, all superior and such, unless we begin our indoctrination early, teaching small children how nice we were to the Indians. sigh  I'm probably bitter because I don't even like turkey.
