Just a reminder for anyone who might be interested in Python programming... We are still accepting poster proposals for PyCon 2012 in Santa Clara. Presenting a poster is a great way to get started presenting at a large conference, and we are open to pretty much anything Python-related.

So propose a poster, urge someone else to propose a poster, share this, come to PyCon... (for more info on PyCon, go to https://us.pycon.org/2012/

There are too many good parts in this video to list. I particularly like how they identify the interviewee as "Owns Home Computer" and how they point out that it takes 2 hours to download the entire paper.

What an age to be alive!

+David Shaw Yeah, those shots are a couple of years old. The year after he put them online, he brought hard-copies for everyone. :-)

It seems like the Beard Quotient of PyCon is a little higher than from the IPC we went to in Long Beach, but it has been a while.

+James Kirkland Awesome! I didn't even think to look there. The local Barne's and Nobel doesn't have it, yet, but the computer book selection out here in the sticks is usually pretty slim.
