S&L Roofing was called for this roof repair in Laguna Hills, CA where there was a leak above one of the bedrooms. Upon inspection, we found that tiles had slipped down along the ridge and the hip line and water was able to #leak through the roof due to broken up cement. This photo was taken after we removed 200 sq ft. of tile. The roof's felt paper was destroyed by the water.

This is a roof repair in Lake Forest, CA. Our #roofrepair specialists inspected the tile roof and pinpointed the location of the leak at the chimney. After a thorough inspection we found the cause of the leak was due to the roof's flashing (the material that weatherproofs the roof) around the chimney was blocked by dirt and debris allowing rainwater runoff to get under the tiles, and destroyed the underlayment (felt paper) under the tiles.

After a thorough roof inspection, we found the cause of the roof leak was due to cracked roof shingles, which caused the felt paper under the tiles to be exposed and prematurely deteriorate. Roof #tiles are supposed to shed water, but when the tiles are cracked water can infiltrate the roof's lining. This is why it is important to have tile roofs inspected, maintained and serviced every few years to keep from having to have costly repairs.
