I was in La Jolla for a meeting last week and I decided to stop by the Whole Foods in La Jolla for lunch. I had been to several other Whole Foods before but none of them were like this. They had an entire BBQ section. It blew my mind. I got some smoke sausages, went over their pizza section and picked up a hot slice of peperroni pizza and sat down to stuff my face. I will have to come back here again soon and eat again!

Oh Whole Foods, aka WHOLE PAYCHECKS ._. Yet I went as often as my meager college budget would allow at the time. Most of the food here is natural, without preservatives and fillers. But almost everything, despite being super nutritious, is DELICIOUS. The fresh made food was to die for, I never though raw kale could taste so scrumptious! Everything here will easily cost 5-6x more than at a normal supermarket, but I truly believe in the value and health this place embodies. I just hope one day more supermarkets can adopt the "healthy" ideal but thats not very realistic. But oh well, super recommended! The employees are all very sweet as well. But no raw milk :[

I stop by Whole Foods occasionally on my way to work in the mornings to pick up breakfast. Their breakfast bar is absolutely fantastic. You can usually find a good assortment of eggs, meat (turkey sausage, bacon, and the like), fresh fruit and more. On Wednesdays they knock around 30% off the price of the weighted food bar, which makes this easily the most attractive day to treat yourself to a hot breakfast. The interior restaurant has cool daily specials and a nice happy hour featuring local and craft brews. Last night (Thursday) they were offering pizza and a beer for $6.99 and showing the Chargers game. Love it.
