As with ever year, we are only able to put on the San Francisco Salsa Festival through the combined efforts of many talented and hard-working individuals. We would like to take a moment to express our gratitude to all the players in this grand production:

- Club Cocomo and The Westin San Francisco Market Street for providing a home to festival for yet another year;

- the competitors and performers for providing three-nights of stellar performance showcases;

- Zoe Klein and her amazing band of circus arts performers for helping us create our spectacular closing night production "Evolution";

- GFranco Dance Shoes, Zeke Ruvalcaba, Josh Garza, Olaia García Alvarez and and our sexy models for delivering a fabulous
fashion show;

- our world-class Bay Area instructors and world-champion international instructors for a great day of packed workshops;

- Corey Raynor, Mireille Ruiz, BB Flanders and Zeke Ruvalcaba for hosting the crazy antics of the bachata room;

- Ricardo Tellez for documenting the festival through his wonderful photography;

- Jesus Zamora for providing graphic design services for the festival;

- DJ Hong, DJ El de la Clave, El DJ X, DJ Jazzy Jez and DJ RKNZ for keeping the crowds dancing in our salsa, bachata, and kizomba rooms;

- Orquesta Saboricua, Avance and Pacific Mambo Orchestra for providing us with amazing live music all weekend long;

- Angela Seminario and William Erik Avitia for being such excellent MCs;

- Tatiana, Jonathan and their team of volunteers whose tireless efforts behind-the-scenes make it possible for everything at the festival to run smoothly;

- and lastly, the Bay Area salsa community for your continued support of the San Francisco Salsa Festival.

Thank you to everyone and we will see you next year for another three nights of world-class performances, dancing, and workshops with top instructors in the heart of downtown San Francisco.

Three nights of performances, dancing, and workshops in downtown San Francisco. March 28 - 30, 2013.
Introduction
The San Francisco Salsa Festival features three nights of performances, dancing and workshops in the heart of downtown San Francisco. Dancers of all levels are invited to attend the festival. During the day, new dancers can attend a beginner bootcamp to learn everything needed to enjoy themselves on the dance floor; more seasoned dancers can attend intermediate and advanced/masters workshops, led by world-champion instructors, to work on taking their dancing to the next level. In the evenings, watch shows from international artists and world-class Bay Area dance companies before dancing the night away to music from the Bay Area’s best DJs and live bands.

A note from the festival organizers:

Over the past 11 years we have traveled the globe, everywhere from Mexico to China, Korea, Japan, Canada, England, and Italy. We've had the opportunity to live abroad, teach workshops and shows, and experience an incredible life in the world salsa community.

Along the way, we have been to the most amazing salsa congresses and festivals. We've made many friends and met the most amazing dancers in the world. The social dancing, workshops, and shows have brought so much fun and joy to people. Nothing could have been possible without this beautiful dance we call salsa. Its presence attracts people and ties them firmly together.

"Life, my friends, is the art of getting together." Therefore, it is our honor and pleasure to organize another great salsa event here in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We want to thank all of our coordinators and volunteers for their hard work, and all of you for supporting our event. Let's enjoy this weekend as much as we can and continue to support our amazing salsa community here in the Bay Area.

Lovingly,
John Narvaez & Elizabeth Rojas
