Best steakhouse in Nashville! The food and the environment are definitely 5 Star! The Bacon with cotton candy appetizer, the Wagyu Filet Mignon and Creme Corn Brulé is amazing!! Oh and the view outside is usually pretty awesome as well with some amazing cars!

Although you can spend a small fortune, what do you expect for a "Prime Steakhouse"? Actually, though, for a menu with high end Wagyu steaks and very standard salmon, there are several good salad, appetizer and side item choices that that do not disrespect your wallet (see 316 Bistro) and are simply delicious. The locally sourced cotton candy topped bacon is almost a nuts as the creme brule' corn; and you know what? the house made tater tots were just darned awesome-everyone at the table loved them. The heavy wood beam decor is well lit and staff was competent and friendly.

Great experience at Kayne Prime. I thought our main waiter could have been more attentive to our table and the reason why I am giving 4 out of 5 stars. He was cute to my 6-month old nephew. The food was amazing! I had the filet, which was perfection. The mac and cheese and bread were out of this world too! Worth going!

Utterly underwhelming. My wife and I were staying in Nashville for our honeymoon and decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. Since it was our honeymoon we figured we'd go all out. After researching several places, reviews indicated Kayne Prime was the best place in town. We were prepared to drop several hundred for wine, an excellent steak, and great service. The wine was excellent, being relative novice wine drinkers, our waitress was spot on. She had a great recommendation and ensured we liked it with a sample. The food was hit or miss. The homemade bacon (thick cut bacon, top with cotton candy - yes, just like you get at the carnival) was 4 out of 5 stars. Unique, original and tasty but not blow your mind good. In addition, we also ordered the Mac and Cheese side. It was good, but like the bacon not blow your mind good. For the price, it was disappointing but for Mac and Chess it was good. Now the steak, yes they steak they seem so famous for. It was bad, it was utterly disappointing, and certainly not worth the premium of a steak house like this. Both my wife and I's steak came out luke-warm at best. Now we ordered medium-rare so we expected it to be a little cool on the inside, but certainly not the outside. The manager happily offered to replace the order and we took his recommendation on a different cut. Unfortunately, the second came out relatively poor too. Overall, the steak was hot but unfortunately noticeably burnt on the outside and the center was very rare. Again, the manager comp'd us and offered us a free dessert. As for service, it started well but decline through the night. It was acceptable, but for the price of Kayne Prime certainly not exceptional. A little slow, a little inattentive, and generally on par with the service at a chain restaurant like Outback. My overall opinion of Kayne Prime is it's acceptable, but not exceptional - especially considering the price. It could have been an off-night, or a series of bad events, but I feel Outback or many other steakhouse could have served a similar or better experience.

Kane Prime is what most other restaurants dream they could be. Stunning display of food and service. Superlative... Another level of taste and atmosphere complimented with a broad array of out of this world taste. A must for anyone that is alive and breathing. Robs service was spot on....

I have been to this restaurant on several previous occasions on business meetings and with friends. The food and atmosphere are wonderful. I had really looked forward to taking my family there. Upon my families arrival on august 8th, we were shown a table and as we were about to take a seat the hostess informed my father that shorts are not permitted and that we need to leave. I was the one wearing shorts. Kaki/dress type shorts nothing inappropriate or unprofessional. I felt embarrassed and humiliated. It didn't have to be that way. Other accomodations could have been made. The way the whole situation was handled was absolutely terrible. If you are planning on going there, please adhere to their strict dress code policy. I will never return to this restaurant.

I would never go back. I was looking forward to this dinner with my wife and another couple. SO LOUD!!! It was like being in a school cafeteria. We ordered the bacon appetizer...good, but mostly fat. We all ordered different cuts of meat. Like most fine steak houses, the steaks were very good, but they cooled quickly. Nothing worse than a good N Y strip that's room temperature. We also ordered the crème corn and tater tot pasta and both were very good. Kayne is a hot spot now, but if they can't do something about the noise level, they'll lose potential repeat customers.
