Established in 2013

Acquired from the previous owners at the end of October, 2013. New proprietors Michael Strauss and Pete Fry, in collaboration with Executive Chef Jennifer Choplin (formerly of SoWe, Butcher and Brewer) and Bar Manager Craig Steel (Starr, Garces alumni) are offering a rotating selection of craft beers on draught (including one nitro) and in bottles to go with Chef Choplin's local, seasonal farm-to-table inspired fare.

Taco Tuesdays are the best! Each week a different selection and they're not just "great" for $2... They're actually delicious! Servers and bartenders are always super nice and efficient!

Sunday Brunch was made great with their Bloody Mary menu and the custom playlist was perfect!

UPDATE: I returned because they have yet another chef. The bacon, nutella, french toast was absolutely amazing. unfortunately, they were out of bananas that day. I had the omelette of the day, which was provolone, shitake mushrooms, and caramelized onions. There were no onions in it for some reason and barely any cheese. It was maybe a 2 egg omelette at the largest (I could have held it in my hand) and came with no sides. I suggest you go to Melrose Diner up the street for a cheaper omelette that is 4 times the size and more delicious. **they have delicious bloody mary's!** if it wasn't for the good drinks and french toast it would have been a bust. They're getting better but it's still a work in progress. So this was my favorite bar in the city (esp. under new management) but the menu changed and it looks like they got a new chef. This is a huge disappointment and my friends and I won't be coming here like we used to. The beer menu is good but that's it. The pretzel dish is nasty. I'm a huge foodie and now I'll be moving on to a different place...too bad, you did have some of the best food in the city until this change. I wish I had known, I would have come by and ordered like 10 things on the menu for a final feast.

This place is under new ownership. It's way better. It's now clean, better draft list, better food (although the old ownership was pretty good at crab fries), and just better in general. It's also not too expensive. It's nice to have somewhere to hang out and spend your money in your own neighborhood.

Great lunch meal. The Anniversary Burger was top notch, and the all important pub fries made the grade. Fantastic beer rotation.

Love the cozy corner neighborhood atmosphere and the beer selection is great, cold, and the wild boar tacos are surprisingly good

Hi Gigi, as much as I love your review, I believe you're talking about the South Philly Tap Room, about 8 blocks away from us. A fine establishment for sure and I personally love the wild boar tacos as well! :-)

Stopped in on Sunday for lunch and it was amazing. Greeted very graciously and the food was fantastic. Will definitely go back to try other things on the menu. The beer selection is fantastic and it was very cold.
