Discussion  -
Thank you for accepting my request. My husband and I struggle every day with our marriage some days are good and somedays are not. I've tried to encourage him to be the spiritual leader in our house but we both fall off track which makes it even harder. We are a blended family. I have an eight year old son t.j. I am very sensitive when I comes to my son. Our pastor has told me that I have to put my husband before my son and put god before anyone or anything. I find myself being bias when it comes to my son, Which had also caused problems. Please do you have any advise for our family?

Margie -

I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you. Thank you for joining us here.

As I read what you have said, I would like to give you some neutral ground advice, as I do not know you or your husband.

My wife and I also have a blended home. We each have a son that we brought into our marriage. My wife is very sensitive with her son, and in our marriage that has caused issues as well as we learned how to adjust. That is a GROWING process that you and your husband have to learn together. Advice is great, but every family, child, and situation is different. What may work for our family may not work for yours. Sit down together and discuss boundaries.

I would greatly encourage you and your husband to put Christ at the center of your marriage. That is NOT an easy task. Start reading The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman, Love Dare by Stephen and Alex Kendrick, or find a couples devotional and commit to go through it together. Marriage is not only a commitment, it is hard work, and both sides have to do their part. Accepting the challenge is the first step. Pray for each other.

A great online resource is I would encourage you to check it out. Look into womens retreats, and have him look into a +Promise Keepers event.

As you learn how to put CHRIST at the forefront and center of your marriage, the rest will fall into place. That is a fact. I have seen it in my marriage and many others.

God bless you in your marriage journey! ~ Dave

Basic Information
My husband and I went to the one on north main st. And 16th ave in Gainesville Florida and the customer service there sucks!! We were not greeted when we approached the counter. The young man behind the register had earbuds in his ear and just looked at my husband and waited for my husband to order. My husband ordered two pizzas but only received one because the young man apparently didn't hear him when he said two pizzas because he had earbuds in his ears. Now in my experience with working in customer service unless we worked In a drive thru there was no way we were allowed to wear earbuds. When our order was ready the young man just handed me the pizza and didn't say have a nice day or thank you come again. Although the food is great, We will never visit that store ever again!!
