"Great tasting shredded beef tacos."

I really don't get it. I love Mexican and have been to a hundred Mexican joints, but Titos is tasteless. It gets 5 stars for its use of orange grease and any drunk would rate this place a 5 star, but it isn't worth the wait. Jonathan Gold, you're really wrong about this place. Get out of line, head down Culver Blvd and Inglewood for Tacomiendo and you will end up with much better food and still get your stuff before the guy you were in line with at Titos.

I saw the line for this place wrapped around the store, so I couldn't help but check it out. I decided to try the tacos with cheese, which is their staple. The tacos were mediocre at best. The meat was bland with no real seasoning and resembled something you would get at Jack in the Box (2 tacos for $0.99) The shell of the taco was pretty good; and if you slather the taco with the salsa and guacamole it brings the tasty value up to the $2.70 price tag. Also, the tacos are rather filling. I purchased 4 of them thinking I would eat them all and could only get through 2. The lines are bad but you get through them quickly with all the register areas they open up (inside and outside). All and all, I do not regret my decision to try the place out.

Tito's A Los Angeles institution! Been going there since the 60s. Best to go at off-peak hours 'cause it gets crazy crowded at dinner time.

Pretty awesome tacos. Come here if you are in the west side. Be prepared to wait.

As much as there are Tito's haters out there, Tito's hard shell tacos are part of LA's food culture. They're not supposed to taste like your favorite "under the freeway" soft tacos. They're not even really supposed to be authentic tacos. They're kind of just their own kind of taco - greasy, beefy, and delicious with the homemade salsa. If you've never had Tito's before, you'll want to have at least two. If you have four, you'll be asleep within two hours, guaranteed. The chips are delicious, along with the homemade salsa that you can use on your tacos and chips. If you're a pro, ask for the jalapeno salsa. It is a delicious companion to your tacos and chips. Personally, I love Titos, but the taco prices here are the only things that increase more often than the price of postage stamps. Tito's used to be one of LA's great cheap eats. Like going to a movie theater, a trip to Tito's isn't the cheap trip that it used to be. Expect to spend around $8-10 per person these days for your Tito's fix.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this is not the place. The word to describe titos is not authentic, it's unique. They do things a very specific and original way. I like their tacos, but they come in 3rd right behind their awesome burritos, and 1st place goes to the tamales. I love tamales and this is my go to place for them. The beef & chicken are both worth trying. The chips & salsa is pretty good here as well.

I would be open to check this place out for dinner one night and would definitely give it another Tito's Tacos Mexican Restaurant shot. I think maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. The price is definitely legit! Even if I didn't do the unlimited mimosas, I think the prices were on par with what I would have expected.
