Sticky foods like taffy and dried fruit can damage your teeth because they tend to stay on the teeth longer. If your child eats a lot of sticky foods, be sure they rinse their mouths with water or milk afterwards, then brush & floss thoroughly.

Babies need oral hygiene care, too! If a baby tooth is lost prematurely, the permanent teeth can move into the space, making it difficult for the adult teeth to come in later. Providing good dental care to infants can protect their teeth for decades. http://www.mouthhealthy.org/en/babies-and-kids/
