This reminds me of the salt pork kegged in lard that was shipboard rations in the 1800s.
The concept of canned bacon is a bit foreign to me.  I think more of dry cured bacon that stores for years just hanging.  Well, you do need to sew it up in sacking to keep dirt and vermin off of it.

Glad I ran across this video.  I hadn't realized Steeleye Span had released an album since the 80s.  And a companion album to a great Terry Pratchett yarn to boot.

Of all Scott's books, I think this one would make the best blockbuster movie.  And, who would not HAVE to see killer cows on a rampage.

Why fix what isn't broken?  That is the main reason to stay with XP for non network applications.  XP hit the apogee for usability that has only gone downhill since.
Why have a floppy drive?  To pull data from a multi-million dollar piece of analytical equipment that was built before USB and can't be networked due to security and compatibility concerns.
We will be stuck faxing until the legal system recognizes electronically signed PDF.  But, you have to OWN Adobe Acrobat to be able to produce an electronically signed PDF.  So, keep o faxing as if it is faxed, it can be a legal document.
If you want a continuous hard copy log; dot matrix is the way to go.  The ink cost is much lower and you can get printouts spanning weeks from real time data collection.  And, unless you are trying to print in near letter quality mode; dot matrix is ten times faster than ink jet or laser.

I giggled at the mention of the 70s.  But, it was the 70s where you first see glimpses of the pubic area in main stream cinema.
In my memory of being a teen in the 70s; the only reason to trim the pubic area was if you had lice.  And, you DID NOT want to dress out for physical education class with trimmed pubic hair.

People seem to forget about the Crimean War (1853-1856).  France, Britain, and the Ottoman Empire got together to force Crimea back into the Ukraine after they rebelled and declared they were joining with Russia.
"Ours is not to reason why
Ours is but to do, and die"
.... Charge of the Light Brigade written by Tennyson about the screw ups of the Crimean War.
Florence Nightingale became famous during that war too.

Do we really want the U.S. to get involved in forcing a province to go back to being part of a country they have been trying to get away from for over 100 years?

And, joke all you want but the shipyards at Sebastopol rival U.S. shipyards.  And Russia really does need more beach resorts like Yalta. Remember where Stalin, Churchill, and Roosevelt went to plan Hitler's downfall?

Meh, it is a comedy act but I'm just pissed off at the mainstream journalist ignorance about Crimea and so many more subjects.
