My new vehicle purchase was a great experience. The staff was very professional, there terms were presented in a very straightforward, easy to understand, no-nonsense fashion, all in black and white, no hidden anything. I really appreciated that. They took my trade sight-unseen, gave me absolutely top-dollar for it, and even delivered my new vehicle, and picked up my trade. I live about 2 hours round trip from the dealership, so this was no small thing. And another thing, when was the last time you purchased a new car and they filled it with gas? Well, these guys did. I also appreciated Mike Bevers attention to my questions about the vehicle. He took time to show me everything he knew about it's operation and all the electronic features. I purchased a 2015 Highlander Limited, and the electronics package is quite advanced. He did not know all the answers, but was more than willing to find out. In addition, he took time to go through a checklist of all things necessary to know about the vehicle prior to finishing up. They are wonderful folks to do business with. Not only with new vehicles, but used. My first car purchase from them was about 5 years ago for my son's college car. We bought a used Ford Focus with about 60K miles on it. We drove it around, looked under the hood and found a significant oil leak. The salesperson said "no problem, we'll fix that". We purchased the car for a very fair price, and my son drove it "till the wheels fell off". In other words, it lasted him his whole college experience (double master's). About 5 years.

I call the Dealership looking for a specific car they had in stock. I talked to Mike Beaver who they call the Beev. He answered all my questions about the used car. What he didn't know he found out for me. He even drove it, tested everything you possiably can when buying a used car. He even checked it out to see if it had ever been smoked in as I am allergic to that. I was coming over 500 miles to get it so I wanted to be sure it was just right for me. We showed up on Sunday morning at 11:00am & drove out of the dealership for home at 1:30pm. That included the test drive & financing for us as well. I am very happy with my purchase. My car runs beautifully and is in as perfect a condition as can be for a used car. The interior & exterior was great & it runs good too. It got great gas mileage on the way home 25mpg. I was VERY happy with the Beev. Everything he told me was the absolute truth and he worked tirelessly to make me happy. I would go 500 miles again to buy a car from him. He is very honest and an easy person to deal with. Go Beev!!

I was dealing with Junior. I made my offer, he accepted. We had text multiple times and I restated my price out the door with all cost included. He said "sounds good". It came time to send the purchase order to my bank and he was dragging his feet not getting it done. My wife called to check in on the status of the purchase oder and he lied and said he did not agree to that price. I text him back and asked him about it. His response, "I took the offer to my sales manager and he turned it down". I know one person doesn't make up a whole company. My only experience has been negative but again I only dealt with one person. I did speak with a Tim on the phone the previous day and he seemed very kind and like he wanted to make sure I was being taken care of. I read other positive reviews about this location thus I was going to purchase a car from them. Now I am not.

Steve's Hometown Toyota: Do not come here for a purchase! This dealership suckered us into coming back by offering us above our Blue Book value for our vehicle. When we got there they said that it was a "possibility" that they would "consider" giving us more than Blue book, but now they would only offer slightly below blue book value. I told them why would I drive all the way out from the Boise area to take that deal when I could have gotten that same deal at any dealership around where I live. They said "Oh well". They then insulted my wife and I by telling us to "default on your payment and then see who really owns your vehicle!" I would never recommend this place due to the scummy sales managers (the salesmen are pretty decent). Avoid this place and go to Tom Scott Toyota where you will be treated with RESPECT! UPDATE: I went to TOM SCOTT TOYOTA for my purchase I have been taking my Toyota vehicles to Tom Scott Toyota to be serviced for almost eight years now. When the time came to purchase a new vehicle (after the debacle that was Steve's Hometown Toyota) I sent in an email request and received a response back from the Internet Sales Manager Dan Schumacher. Dan was not pushy and only gave me the information that I was seeking. When I decided to come in to talk to Dan, he didn't try to sell me on anything I wasn't looking for. He explained to me where I would need to be with my trade-in and purchase price, all while not making me feel like I was being had by the dealership. I gathered my information from this meeting and a few weeks later decided to come back to work on purchasing a vehicle form Dan. Dan informed me of an upcoming sales even that would allow for me to save even more money and put me below what I was expecting for a monthly payment. I cannot say enough about Tom Scott Toyota and Dan Schumacher. If you are planning on going into Tom Scott please make the effort to work with Dan Schumacher. You will not be disappointed! SECOND Update: I continue to receive mailings asking to trade in my vehicle I no longer have (because I used a better dealership: Tom Scott Toyota). I have emailed the Internet Sales manager to stop receiving all forms of communication from this dealership. Now I'm starting to get phone calls from the dealership asking me to trade in my vehicle. I called today and spoke to a front desk representative who said she would remove me from calls and mailings. I cannot express how disgusted and disappointed I am in this dealership. They will never get any business from me, my family, friends, co-workers or anyone who is near me that is looking for a vehicle.

They don't back up their word. They lie to get you to come in an then try to lie their way out of it. Don't return phone calls or e-mails. Highly recommend you go some where else!!!! They even try to sell vehicles that headlights and doors are broken!

I came into Steve's Hometown today to get my Corolla serviced. As I sat down, Les asked me if I might be interested in trading my car in for something else. I had actually been thinking about it recently so I asked him to show me around. Sure enough I found a car I LOVED!! Billy and Les helped me out SO much! Thanks to them, I am a proud owner of a new Scion!!!! I love the way that the Ontario dealership treats me. Every one is so helpful and friendly here! I would definitely suggest coming here to someone. Thanks so much guys!

I bought a 2008 Scion in 2/2014. The salespeople were very nice and the buying process was very smooth. After driving the vehicle for a few days it felt like Hometown "taped" the car together to make it attractive and drivable for a short period. After 3 or 4 days the car started to show its flaws. It had rained a few days throughout the month and rain had leaked into the vehicle onto (not into, it had leaked from below the steering wheel) both the driver's side and passenger side carpets. I contacted the the dealership's service department to rectify the problem and I was to be charged a normal fee to have it looked at and then pay to have it repaired. Another issue appeared when the driver's side front wheel started to make a slight rubbing noise. The noise continued until I took the car into a tire establishment to have it inspected for alignment issues. The results indicated that the vehicle had been in an accident and had been repaired. He had indicated that the repair was poor and whomever repaired it incorporated parts unrelated to scion/toyota. The foreign part had been zip tied onto the vehicle and that is what is causing the rubbing. In another post I read that Hometown Motors furnishes a Carfax report upon request but we weren't aware or offered this service. If I had known that I needed to "request" this, I would have also requested a pony and a million dollars just in case they too were available. Again, the individuals were very nice at the dealership. Regardless, I feel cheated and deceived because of the quality of the vehicle that I paid for. I am ashamed that I was ignorant enough to pay that kind of money for a vehicle with so many problems. I trusted the integrity of the business. If I knew that the car was zip-tied together, I would not have purchased the vehicle.

Had an awesome experience here with Kyle K. - He was fun and knowledgeable and worked hard to get us a deal on our vehicle. We were so happy with the deal he got us, we bought 2! (a car and a truck) :) Thanks everyone!
