I will admit bias as I am a volunteer for Zach Theatre! That being said, I've invited friends and family to many shows and each time they've had nothing but glowing praise! The directing, the acting, the music, the dancing...pre-show performances in the lobby of Topfer is all top notch in my opinion. Zach Theatre draws primarily from Austin for actors, musicians, set design, light crew, on stage and behind the scenes. Austin proud! Plus, Zach offers the family series geared toward smaller children and every elementary age child in Austin is offered the opportunity to come with their school. Zach offers a tremendous number of scholarships to students of all ages throughout the year for classes and camps. When they say, "We could not do it without you," the words are true and honest! If you can catch a 'Pre Professional' show, by all means do so! These are the kids through college age who have been studying their craft for many years. Possibly the finest live show in town for under $15. I volunteer for as many of these as I can. Each performance is a treat! Given the proximity to downtown as well as to Zilker Park, parking is still relatively easy. Occasionally there is an event at Zilker Park that tends to make parking a little more difficult. Usually, however, it is not an issue. My favorite shows, year in and year out, are the musicals that have the late July to late August run. I've found the music and dance (as well as acting) to be thrilling every single time!

Sunning shows across the board! Great atmosphere in all the theaters and you can order drinks before the show to pick up during intermission. Their kids acting program is stellar too!

State of the art upgrades since the old days when it was just a glorified warehouse with a few stages and seats! Saw a great production of "Tommy" here and was blown away.

Love this place. Been sending my child to summer camps for 3 years and am blown away by the level of interaction and attention they give him.
