Harold Teen, long-running comic strip character Harold Daugherty was not the only boy growing up in America in the 1930s and 1940s with that particular moniker. In 1927, Harold was the fourteenth most popular name for boys. Although it never broke the Top T...

Just a brief word of reassurance to those who have devoted a lot of their valuable time and energy reading my blog and sharing my journey over these past several months. I have not disappeared. Let me first bait you a little bit and tell you, there is SO mu...

Finally, I saw a word from you on your Hoosier Daddy site.  I had been checking daily but just looking at the 'Jan' (3) and thinking you had not written anything and didn't think that you might be responding in the comments section.  I was concerned!  Glad you are getting better.  Were you still out of town and sick?  where did you stay if you were not home?  And if you had to stay alone in some hotel that sounds awful.  I do hope you are resting inside some place cozy and not trying to catch up on things that need to be delayed.  Too much to do for  you not to be 100%.  Oh, by the way, I cannot figure out why I cannot sign in on your blog but I go to the sign in and nothing happens and obviously I have a Google account cause here I am!

An Explanation and a Commercial Break
I am afraid you have all run off and abandoned me when the story is just getting good. But of course, the fault would be mine, as it appears I ran off and abandoned you as well. I did not. I left my home in Granger, Indiana, on Friday, January 9th. I was su...

How very dreadful!  I do hope you are fully recovered.  So it sounds like you flew home and then went back to Salt Lake.  Delighted to hear the normal you and look forward to more of your grandfather/mother encounter.
