Had a good meal here with friendly service. However, ordered two "hot fudge cakes" for dessert with only one of them having hot fudge. When the waitress was asked about this and had it pointed out she said, "oh no. They are not supposed to have hot fudge in them ." The hot fudge cake is not supposed to have hot fudge?? Otherwise good.

Wicked climb to the top. Nothing motivates you like gasping for air and getting passed by a grandma in high heels. Packing an extra buck-20... it was nice to high-five other 40+ yr old fat guys coming down the hill. Note to self...don't accept dares from in shape teens

Hi, Jay! Sounds like you had a blast hiking the falls. You can't beat those views, right? Don't worry about the grandmas in heels passing you -- it happens to the best of us. We hope to see you in for a bite to eat next time you hike! Best, Mark, General Manager

It was a little crowded when we went... and we went on a Monday! So if you are going on a weekend, go early... or be prepared to hike a little bit, just to get to the place where the hike begins! They have a nice gift shop, restaurant, and coffee/fudge bar at the base of the hike, which I thought was strange. Who wants to eat fudge before or after a hike? But I guess this is America.... Anyway, they have hikes for ALL levels of hikers here. You can do the short and easy hike up to the bridge which views the falls. This maybe takes 10 minutes and is an easy hike. My family and I did the 7 mile falls hike up to the top of the Multnomah, and then up and all around to view about 8 other waterfalls in the area. It was nice to get up and away from all the crowds.

Lovely restaurant. A little pricey but the view makes up for it. Vegetarian options available. If you go make sure to spend some time at the falls before/ after. *Note: parking for this is right off the highway, you take a spacious well-lit tunnel to get to the falls and the restaurant

Thieves and theft!! Be very careful and do not leave anything in your vehicles... Huge hot pot of crime in this parking lot- broken door locks or broken windows are very very common. My GPS, debit card, leather coat and cd's were all stolen and we only parked in the very busy parking lot for 30 minutes. Lots of people around, lots of cars coming and going, only one spot left in the parking lot when we arrived. Hard to believe anyone would be able to break in a truck in such a busy parking lot/area. The police said it happens all the time, and the best place to park is right in front of the lodge. Just a heads up... Very gorgeous spot, beautiful falls, neat visitor center, and salmon spawning in the creek! Definitely worth the stop, just be safe and clear out valuables when you park!

I'm sorry to hear that your things were stolen from your car, Katie. That must have put a huge damper on your vacation. Despite this misfortune, I hope you still have great memories of Multnomah Falls. It sounds like you enjoyed the beautiful views and our lodge, which I'm glad to hear. I would hate for this instance to be your last impression of our place. I can assure you that your experience doesn't represent us as a whole. The next time you're in the area, I would love to welcome you back in for a much better time. Best, Mark, General Manager

We just had breakfast here n I have to say after reading the reviews here about the Trout n Eggs they are wrong it was the best I have had this was cooked perfectly. The Lodge was clean n bathrooms too. My husband had the Italian breakfast n also loved it. We also had the Smoked Salmon hash n I have to say it is great. We have left overs that we are taken with us tomorrow when are going to take drive to Mt St Helen.

I'm so happy to know your first go-around with us proved to be nothing short of excellent, Renate. With all that trout and salmon, it sounds like you and your husband had the perfect Pacific Northwest meal! Thank you for this lovely review and we'll look forward to seeing you the next time you're in our neck of the woods! Cheers, Mark, General Manager

Do not eat at the cafe. Got a veggie wrap and it was sticky and moldy! Beware!
Response from the owner - 7 months ago
