Sent them a drive that was completely seized. I got 3 local bids - all were between $1400 and $1900. I ended up telling one of the local shops I was going to try 300datarecovery - to which he replied it was impossible to recover data for that amount. I sent it anyhow. I got a call from 300datarecovery, and initially they were unable to recover the data, but gave me the option to send it to a referred "clean room" or allow them to crack it open in a non-clean room, and try to recover the data. I chose to allow them to crack it outside a clean room. Turns out it wasn't impossible. They were able to recover all of the data from the drive - which included thousands of pictures (over 37,000) taken by my wife.
I was skeptical, but very pleased. This whole process was done for the $300, and in a very short amount of time: mailed it to them Dec 14th, and the recovered drive was on my doorstep on December 24th.
I would definitely recommend them to others.
